It is, you simply use your gears to change resistance. The advantages are no remote cables etc. It feels pretty realistic, as your weight increases the pressure on the roller.Im looking at the fluid options, just hope the resistance is as good as the controlled ones.

reece how are you getting on with your turbo trainer,im ready to get one by end of the week..The one I bought uses fluid and that one from decathlon uses magnets, which I'm led to believe is noisier?
