If i've been off the bike for a while for whatever reason, like a long, cold, icy winter. The sense of euphoria when riding that bike again in the first rays of the spring sun often brings to mind this song:

I just scream inside my head, sometimes out loud, "I'm back in the saddle again". I don't bother with the rest of the song.

Before anyone posts it, and no matter how apparently keen Freddie is to ride his bicycle, I'm pretty sure that "Bicycle Race" by Queen has very, very little to do with cycling. It is, however the only song that I'm aware of with a bicycle bell solo.

I remember watching that on a b&w tv at a friends place in Brisbane. Hoges sidekick Delvene was much admired though I don't think that's her on the bike.

I thought it was Delvene on the bike, there's a documentary on youtube where his humour is discussed and their quote points out that the idiot is Hoges in that sketch. I too watched it in the 70's on a B&W TV, massive fan back from 'Hoges In London'
did you also know that Delvene married 'Strop'
