That is the problem. Imagine getting out of the saddle for a sprint, only to sit down again on your bollocks - no thanks. Give me a decent pair of bib shorts.

I did, once, whilst wearing a pair of bemuda shorts and nowt else -was quite hot at the time too- sat on one: by god it wasn't recommended - I never wore them on their own ever again after that !!!

Yes, yes it is.

I for example include the seafront where I live in my regular rides. I don't think I'd manage to pull off just wearing cycle shorts, what with Greenpeace trying to drag me back in the water and everything.

hold on I have one of me... confession, not actually naked - I was wearing a pair of SPD sandals.. Down a little lane in France that was blocked off to cars due to roadworks. It was just after a bottle of wine with lunch, so I gave it a try for a couple of hundred metres!

Answers to objections

Will you get sweaty bollocks?
No, not with the wind whistling through your nethers.

Can you wear shoes?
Of course. Your feet are important, and should be protected.

Will you get grazes if you fall off?
Probably. Last time I fell off I was full clothed, and got grazed through the fabric. Best to stay on.

All naked activities are good, but don't feel obliged to do them in any particular order. If you get the chance to cycle naked, take it!
