Yes, that makes a difference. For a person who can alter their hours at will and has rain radar on a smartphone, it is quite easy to reduce their exposure to rain.

Cannot alter my hours at will, the shifts are random(ish).

Well on Monday I was soaked about 3 pm, went home, put on spare DRY gloves, socks and boots and set off an hour later and was soaked again within 15 mins. I do have the app but it can't stop the rain if you have to go out unfortunately).
