Cycling in Ireland

trying to plan a few short tours when the weather gets good lol.
louth /meath maybe head up north ,but im kinda looking for small campsites nice and quiet.

When you travelling, and site requirements?

That second one covers campsites as well. Would you consider wild camping or stealth camping?

Thanks for those links loughcrew looks good i'll will try that our for sure ,slane is just 9 miles from my place runs a hostal there as well .i would wild camp no problem if i had company .

If you're going to be anywhere near Slane I would very much recommend stopping at Rockfarm Eco-Glampsite. It's a small but unique eco friendly site with every you need including a great communal area to cook and socialise in. Accommodation is a range of individual huts and yurts spread over a few fields. I stayed in the Shepherds Hut for £35 and it was fantastic. The outdoor hot tub is pretty special too after a long day in the saddle.

My hut was through that wee gap in the hedge on the left side.

Castlewellen looks like a goer .I've got friends who caravan there so might hook with them in march as long as the weather is kind.famous last words.

Castlewellan has a big hill out of it in one direction (the sort where you see a big dip and the big climb out the other side!) and the Mournes in another.. I've not been to the campsite but if I remember correctly it's in the Park....

One set of my relatives live just outside the town.

only thing i dislike about the campsite in Northern Ireland there expensive £15 for a small pitch ,anyone else come across this. in my part southern ireland the prices are usually around 10 euro big difference.

thanks for that the book i had gave it to a buddy in the UK .
like the map of the wild atlantic way might buy that one even tho im not heading that way but sure plans might change.
