I currently use a pair of Decathlon glasses but i don't think they are cycling ones,at least not shatterproof.

So i would like a decent pair that meet cycling requirements and also light adjusting or photochromatic, but as is always the case the budget is tight.£50 tops.

Thoughts anyone?

I use these afghan issue come with three lenses and they are ballistic so no worries if you end up in the middle of a gang shoot out , nice large lenses to cover from the wind and very adjustable

Maybe my other post got lost or probably I put it in the wrong place but two weeks ago I bought a pair of i826 specs from Specsavers for under £100 and they are good for the price. I do not like the inserts, which are not varifocal and a bit small but other than that they are ideal for my type of riding (leisure / commute).

Seeing as i have limited budget it seems the best photochromatic glasses are too pricey for me,but what about Polaroid, are they a good substitute and are they worth buying.?

Meh, I just buy safety glasses. Unless you need prescription lenses I don't see the point in spending more than a tenner on them. I used to have some Oakley's, I was so worried about breaking /losing /scratching them it took all the fun out of it.

I don't like wearing clear or yellow lenses, nothing wrong with them but just not my thing. And i dont want inserts if at all possible, rather have a pair that changes with the conditions.

I do understand that it comes at a price, that's the dilemma.

I'm another fan of Sunwise, I have two pairs of the Equinox range one white and pink and the other grey and orange.

I have just bought a new Rudy airstorm helmet and now looking for some glasses. The Rudy`s do look like the ones for me.I have since upped the budget so willing to pay a little extra if the right one comes along.

I have some Tifosi Tyrant that's are great as I have a smallish face so I struggle to find something that doesn't look ridiculous. They are excellent and didn't break the bank either...

Have some older Oakley m-frames I got second-hand but the dark lenses are now foobard so just use them as clear glasses. For (a lot less)less than the price of replacement lenses for the oakleys I got some Briko ones an Italian brand as worn by all the best doped Italian pros (notably Pantani and Cippolini) ones off e-bay and am well pleased with them so far.
