When I was cycling across the USA I saw this bunch of club riders ahead of me in a layby, I didn't bother to acknowledge them , we all know what club riders are like, but just as I was passing they raised their arms in unison and fired their guns in salute, I've never ignored club riders since.

What ever you do dont go to a super market and buy sausages, because other people there will also have sausages, the same as you ... And they arnt going to feel the need to acknowledge this ... Oooh look we both have sausages, lets wave at each other
