Out on a ride earlier, I spotted about 8 riders from a club on the side of the road, talking. As I went past I waved at them but they ignored me so I shouted: " Ignoring me then". One of them must have heard me because he turned round and waved. All the solo cyclists I see always waved back so I conclude it must be a club thing. Being in a group of usually faster riders, they must look upon solo riders as inferior. Like I said, a bunch of snobs not worth the trouble.

Does it really matter that someone doesn't wave back to you?

Ride round Richmond Park in a pair of jeans on a sunny July Saturday and you will discover that you are actually wearing a fully functioning invisibility cloak.

Hmm, a far-reaching conclusion from just one encounter.

How disgustingly bad mannered people who do not wear Lycra when cycling, had a many today who did not reply to my good morning. As for the idiot kid deliberately riding up the middle of the road taunting motorist and swearing at pedestrians, all you non club members are the same.

Out on my modest road bike only one of the Uni' cycling club acknowledged me, rest didn't even glance my way (invisible)
They were all astride Cervelo and Kuota, very smart steeds.
More recently out on my heavy, 5 speed Pashley they all said hello!
Maybe they thought, wow, she is shifting along nicely on that bike, kudos, or
a look of pity for an old fat bird on a "clown mobile"
I think the former  :bicycle:
Who cares :hello:
