Just got me thinking how other peoples health issues affect them



i had an over active thyroid, had radio iodine treatment and now have an under active thyroid and graves disease. I feel pretty good now im on treatment, cycling is a new hobby to inspire me to exercise.

i used to walk alot but wanted a new challenge AND NOW my heart is in rythem i thought ll step up the tempo. i love it, wish i could go urther and faster but that will come, for now its all about enjoyment

Had angina in 2008, slowed me down for a while, needed angioplasty and stenting, now permanently on statins, to stop my arteries silting up again, and low dose aspirin, to reduce my heart attack risk. Now riding about 95-98% of what I could do before the angina. If its very cold I have to make sure I warm up properly, if I go to hard from the off I'll get twinges, and be generally careful about how hard I push. But I'm enjoying my cycling as much as I ever did
