I thought knowing which type of Carlton I recently purchased was important.
As I carried out research and started fettling it soon became apparent that my bike may not be quite so easy to pinpoint as I first imagined, with a suspicion it may have been a custom frame build with a serial number that can only be attributed to the 68 -72 period.
I have created a blog which provides some background info about the Carlton and there are several pictures which show the frame and lugs, so if there is someone out there who can make an informed judgement I'd love to hear from you, Alas I fear this bike may be unidentifiable, but secretly I am fine with this.
