If you mean Cycles UK. They are open during prime commuting time in the evening. Nick from the store has said that this is their busiest time of day.

I always wonder if it would make any money for them if they were open a bit earlier/shut a bit later/both? I would have thought prime commuting time is over by the time they open and only just in full swing by the time they close. Surely a few more tubes/tyres/other kit might get sold if they were open when a load of potential customers were riding by?

OK so I have checked their 'official' opening times
Opening Times Monday to Saturday 9.00am - 6.00pm Sunday 11.00am - 5.00pm

As per OP, it looks like they are missing the majority of their trade who if working 'city hours' of 9.30 to 5.30 would pass before they open and after they close

I suspect from personal viewing that when they say they open and close at these times, it means exactly that, so if you turn up at ten past 9 or ten to 6 the shop shutters are down

Ian, yes, I did mean Cycles UK.

I'm not surprised it's their busiest time of the day but I guess I'd query whether prime commuting time ends at 6! I'm fortunate enough to have a completely stereotypical 9-5 job. I live in Charlton and commute to Cannon St, passing Cycles UK on the way to work between 7:45 and 8:15 and on the way home 5:45 onwards. So I pass through Greenwich twice a day, and there's a possible 15 minute window I might be able to pop in. Once it has saved me pushing the bike home after I got a puncture and then snapped the valve on my spare. Much of the time I'm too early/too late to drop in.

There are plenty of cyclists travelling through Greenwich at the same sort of times. I just wondered how many commuters who pass by at those times might be inclined to pop in if the shop was open at, say, 8am and/or up to 6.30 / 7pm? Even if it was 3 days a week.....

Obviously I haven't got any stats, it was just a thought............

Both yesterday and today the shop was open at 8.30am when I cycled past. And last night was still open at 6.30pm.

Cycles UK, Creek Road, just before the Deptford Bridge ?
The place that has the shutters firmly down well before 6pm every single evening of the week (assuming it ever opens at all ) ?
