Cyclecross Racing - bike suggestions

Am shopping for a cyclocross racer, and open to any suggestions at this point. Am looking to mainly race the thing, with secondary winter commuting duties.

Budget around a grand, will stretch to the Cube X Pro @ £1399 at a push. Currently leaning to the Guerciotti Lyra as sold by Planet X here.

Just purchased the Cube, which I found in my size reduced to £1,199. Bit of a no brainer really.

Not for racing purposes, what with the weight, spare wheels being required etc.

The Cube weighs in at 8.2kg, that's lighter than my road bike!
