Without a doubt, the best soap opera of all time is Prisoner Cell Block H.
Neighbours in its late 80s/early 90s heyday comes a distant 2nd place, closely followed by Corrie... until they killed off Derek Wilton c1996 and I pretty much stopped watching it.
