My company has signed up and it's encouraged a vast number of people to get a bike. Not all of them actually commute but there seem to be very few if no checks at all. It was the way I got my first bike and there's no way I could have afforded one otherwise. I'm now on bike number two and pay £25 a month for £500 worth of bike and accessories. Hurray!

What bike did you get then?

My first was a Pinnacle stratus 1.0 (Roger) and a year later I used the scheme again and upgraded to a more roadie Specialized Sirrus (Reg). As well as the bikes, I used the vouchers to buy clothing, a helmet, a rack and panniers.

I feel more comfy on men's bikes because I have odd proportions and am quite tall for a lady.

I have just taken part in my work's ctw scheme.

Though my payments are spread over 18months.

Got myself the Boardman Road Comp for £649, and a load of equipment.

Cost £800 in total, but only have to pay bay roughly £35 a month.

Where did you get the Boardman under the scheme because I did a search for Halfords near me under the scheme but couldn't find them registered as I want to get one of the Boardman Bikes.

Halfords have their own scheme - run to the same goverment rules but administered by themselves. So I believe Halfords won't be part of a scheme administered by anyone else, e.g cyclescheme et al.

Some peoples employer have opted to use cyclescheme, others have signed up to the HalfordsC2W scheme. I suspect Eviljeem's employer will have signed up to the HalfordsC2W scheme.

I got mine from the Halfords near St Pauls in the City. I know the one in Croydon does them too.
