Two answers to the problem that I employ. I have two bikes hanging it the garage, and the others I spread about. My commuter is secured in a covered area outside, and my favourite full carbon job is sat next to this computer in my study.

What is this "floor space" that you refer to"

Surely if you have "floor space" you haven't got enough bikes?!

You know I'm glad I just live in a shared 2 bed flat at the moment. I've somehow managed to fill that up with junk, god knows what I'd manage with things like a garage and a shed!

Hmm... well Mr Summerdays obviously decided it was pointless being worried about the bikes and left the shed door wide open overnight. They are still there.... luckily!!

You need to explain to Mr Hamster that his stuff goes in the loft.

... that's fine for his bedding, but you might encourage him to keep his spare food in his cheek pouches.

are the wooden trusses exposed in the roof of your garage?? if so like in mine then simply hook thr saddle over one and it will hang there quite happily for mr hamster to hit his head on

I'm lucky because hubby is as fanatical about bikes as me (maybe more so). So the main shed is huge and is now also the wet weather bike workshop and stores the roadies. We then have a separate bike shed for the cruisers and the MTbs. And finally a bike tent for the hack/commuters. They are always stored in a specific way and easy to retrieve.

I am fortunate and have access to an old stable (still inner city) where I can store and play with my bikes. I was feeling quite over privaleged until I read about your arangements which sound like bliss.
