Well, I admire your sentiment, Doug, but telling people on a cycling forum not to buy bikes may be a tad ambitious.

But that's all there is right now pretty much (even for old stuff) - so if someone wants a bike, the price is likely to be relatively higher than it was a year ago, be it used or new.
