Hello, on your hire prices page you have "any off" instead of "any of"

You're missing the capital letter "A" from the start of the "All deposits" on the same line.

Lee, I was intending editing this post with any bits I spotted as I spotted them, but you have a number of sentences which don't have capital letters at the start or full stops at the end. You also appear to have put a space before and after a comma or other punctuation mark on numerous occasions. Have a good look through for things like that, that'll neaten things up a little bit, otherwise you may get a very long list

OK, some thoughts (putting my 'marketer' hat on):

- You could do with thinking about the layout of the Home Page. What I'd be really interested in is where the rides are about there when I get the bike hired, so I'd suggest bringing these up higher on the left menu since that's currently blank.
- These rides could do with actual content - add a link to the ride on your site/elsewhere
- Pop your postcode under the address bit on the left in red. Simple way of finding you.

- What types of bikes are you hiring? I looked and couldn't find anything apart from a long list of prices. These could be shortened with Bookmarked hyperlinks and a photo of the bike to be hired to the right.

- The Contact Us page has an e-mail address plus a form - which should they use to contact you? Also, the e-mail address isn't hyperlinked. Finally, I wouldn't put a personal e-mail address straight onto the web page - instead use your company domain or the form.

- The Gallery is useful, but which rides are these sights on? That might interest someone?

- Finally at this stage, how are you promoting it? Who are you planning to link to, particularly in terms of people who'd like to hire a bike in the area?

Otherwise, I hope the venture goes well.

I noticed that one of the options for the deposit is £40 cash, item 3 on your t&c's state

"If a cycle is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged the hirer will be responsible for the cost of the cycle / cost of repair."

I'm not sure what the value of your bikes will be, but is there anything to stop someone riding off with one and thinking 'what a bargain for £40'
I would have thought the deposit should be significantly high enough to cover the cost of the cycle/repair.
It might help if you could accept card payments, then you could take a swipe of the card - without charging it.
You only charge it if the bike doesn't get returned,

Agreed. Also accepting someone's car keys as proof of ID is a little dangerous. Don't forget, in many burglaries now, the thieves are stealing people's cars to take their 'swag' away in; what's stopping then taking their car to you the next day and leaving with a few of your bikes too?

Andy84, thats a valid point on riding off with a bike for £40, i am hoping most people will opt to leave a ID or there car keys, if using the car park, i will look into a card machine though cheers. each hirer ,

I have never hired a bike, but some thoughts if I were to hire.....

Will you provide maps of the local area preferably laminated?

Maps with suggested routes and the time to complete the route at an easy pace.

How far from your premises are the locations featured in your photo gallery? An indication would be helpful to hirers.

Would it be better to charge by the hour rather than the day or half day? Some would argue that a day is 24 hours. If I came to hire a bike for one day on Saturday I could fit in almost 12 hours of cycling, but only 8 hours 15 min if I hired during the week.

Your condition five requires hirers to obey road traffic laws, what will you do if they don't?

Good luck with your new venture.
