Is garmin connect notworking ?
Tried to upload my ride today and although the upload button works nothing happens and the rest of the site is unresponsive including the total miles logged on the home page being blank .
If you are thinking of going with a hiking GPS I would recommend you have a look at the Satmap Active 10 plus. In my opinion it beats the pants off any Garmin.
I am looking at the 500 but what if any advantages over the 200 does it have.
HR
Cadence
Temperature
If you don't need the above then stick with the 200.
If you are using the machine to follow a route. Then just be aware that there is a well known fault with the 500 with the routes. Garmin have refused to fix the problem. It's a gamble as to whether you get a machine that reads routes properly or not.
I've just left mine on bicycle routes but I've just been following my own tracks (plotted on road); I maybe should cycle out to somewhere and try out the route to start optionI've got an 800..now if I'm using the navigation is it best to use to routing for bicycle or car?
last time I used routing via bicycle method I went through parks and whats not
I'd prefer using car
Oh aye, I'll try road tomorrow....I only wanted to avoid it if it took me on busy carriageways etcI've just left mine on bicycle routes but I've just been following my own tracks (plotted on road); I maybe should cycle out to somewhere and try out the route to start option
P28 of the manual refers to the routing, you may want to check out 'Avoidance Setup' - For avoiding types of roads.Oh aye, I'll try road tomorrow....I only wanted to avoid it if it took me on busy carriageways etc
