Cube Touring EXC Hybrid 2016 vs Ridgeback Tour 2017

Morning all !

Been on the look out for a bike suitable for doing a few tours on next year ive narrowed the bikes down to

Now the only problem i have is i have a Cube Agree Gtc which i love, ive had Touring bikes before ( Dawes Horizon and a Galaxy ) but they have always been Drop handlebars. my dilemma is do i go for the Cube with Dynamo lights ( which id like ) but flat bars or the Traditional Touring bike like the Ridgeback ???

There must be a better option? The cube with flat bars makes sense right up until you spot the cheap Suntour suspension forks. Is there not a similar bike but without the front suspension? Can't see why you would want to be lugging around that much useless dead weight on the front.
EDIT: just looked at the specs and to be fair, when comparing the drivetrain and brakes of the two bikes it does rather look like Ridgeback are taking the pee at that pricepoint!

Have you looked at what deals spa cycles might have? They do bikes with flats and drops but sounds like you prefer drops?

You're in York, they are a touring specialist up the road in Harrogate. Why would you buy online? Ride over and see them A nice rolling 40 miles round trip

Yeah ive looked at the deals around York and Tweeks have come out on top yet again as they did with my Cube Agree.

Ive just placed the order for the Ridgeback tour as i think it will do what i need it to do and as you said i would prefer drops.
