evening all.
I recently replaced the chain on my bike as the middle gears were jumping and measuring the chain confirmed it was stretched.
I've fitted a KMC split link 10 speed chain because I have a 10 speed cassette.
The chain is still jumping though so I think it's time to replace the cassette.
From what I can get off the cassette I think it's a hyperglide cs-4600 but can't be sure, it also could be 4300 or 4500 it's difficult to read the code.
Counting the teeth and cogs I can say it's 10 speed 12-28 and I can read hyperglide
As I have 105 derailleur I looked up Shimano 105 and found there is a cassette 10sp 12-28 5700
But there is also a Tiagra 10sp 12-28 at half the price and my bike spec says it originally had a Tiagra 12-28 cassette
Cost isn't a factor but i hate crap components and I am mechanically sympathetic so also loath graunching, slipping or clunky stuff.
Will the Tiagra do the job or do I need the 105 5700 and will it even fit?
