Gutted, the CdeF comes in a 52 frame size at the smallest end and I need a 50. It ticked all the boxes, cross tyres, rack eyelets and discs for commuting in heavy rain. Does anyone know of anything similar? I can't find many bikes with discs and I had a few occasions over winter when rim brakes gave me the fright of my life. Don't want to stop riding in the rain but don't want to face plant the back end of a bus either.

I like the look of these - Alfine hub + discs, there will be a drop bar version.
Size small comes out at suiting a rider 5'1" - 5'6"

looks nice. The Versa vr8 shifters are 179 so I could convert it to a drop bar. The only drop bar on the site at the moment is a fixed.

I wish I could say yes, but I'm way too impulsive. It's also been raining a lot recently so I can justify the cost to myself and the missus. The one looks perfect, the Alfine delux with the brooks finishing kit is drool worthy, I guess I could put off the drop bar conversion for a few months. Looks like there is enough clearance for knobly tires, I live near the greenbelt and it would be nice to get off the roads once in a while.

I spoke to on-one and they will have these out soon, very soon! As an aside it's pretty rare to fill out a web form and get a call back within 30 minutes, seem like really nice people too.

In what way would a 52 be too big? Would it be too long? Fit a smaller stem. To tall...? Then you can rule it out.

An alternative: Charge Mixer and fit Shwalbe CX tyres. No drops though. You could do the same with a Cotic Road rat and get the drops.

That On-One is massively hot.

I could ride a 52 but with my feet on tip toes my crown jewels would only just miss the cross bar. I'm only 5"5.5 inside leg 28". A 50 would be more comfortable and I may want kids some day.
