Cheers Ed
Do we know how good the cells are in these packs from C&B Seen?
Am tempted to get one or would the highest capacity Xtar ones be better?

not sure yet as it hasn't arrived but i just went with them as various people on here recommended me to and i hadn't a clue otherwise! will post on here to tell you it hasn't failed when it turned up but unless you want to wait a year or so for me to properly test it before you buy then i would say just take the risk

likewise on the battery getting flakier. I'm going for the C&B... battery option this time round.

@young Ed Might I also suggest you nip back to C&B..... and buy a fresnel glass for the unit. they're about a fiver & make the beam pattern a touch more rectangular than conical, it helps for you to see by as you have a wider lateral throw for no less forward illumination and makes it less dazzling for oncoming drivers and passing aircraft.
will wait until it comes and see how bad it is and decide weather or not i need it but probably will end up getting it

I have the light that was in your first post Ed. I find it to be ok. The only problem is that is switches off when the batteries die without any notice.

I have 2 of the C&B packs for my rear lights. They are about 4400 ish. They do 2 hours plus on my rear lights.
They won't support my front lights, so i use a custom pack.

Ok I'll repeat myself.

Cree DO NOT make bicycle front lights/headlights. They manufacture LED chips and circuit boards.

What you are buying here is a product of questionable quality and even worse, an unknown LIPO battery also of questionable quality.

Tbf thats bollocks anyway ive used probably 100 lipo batteries when i used to do airsoft (gun sport) and stuff with the army we shorted them ran over them and even split them apart snd never had any fire explosions or anything and some of those were totally unbranded knock offs, justa nother one of those scare stories where 1 in 50,000 people are idiots and cause harm to themsleves, the t6 are nice lights ed and great bang for buck gope you enjoy it! Ive used them in the pouring rain ect and they are great

used them yesterday on the commute home and it really is great! only water i got was a bit of spray from the front especially down the steepest hill on my commute where there are 2 totally blocked storm drains so there is always water running down it  (tempted to just go and lift the cover and un block the thing myself!)
and then a bit of condensation on the lens when i came into the warm house

only thing is the CandBseen battery pack is totally dead so am trying to organise a replacement now
Cheers Ed

is the front light too much of a draw for your battery so the battery goes into protection mode or something like that?
Would be interested to hear how you get on with these @young Ed
very well with the light  but not so well with the CandB seen battery..... yet
6 cell came yesterday , i will report on monday
as you haven't reported back i'm guessing the battery failed and you are now somewhat injured?
Cheers Ed
