I have had a creak on the Brompton for the past few weeks. When I apply pressure to the pedals. It's the same creak on both pedals.

Pedals are tight, cranks seem tight, but I don't have a torque wrench.

I changed the chain and the rear sprockets (it's a six speed) this weekend. No effect on the creak whatsoever.

No cracks visible in the frame.

I know about the suspension block squeak issue, and it isn't that.

Everything which should be greased and oiled is properly greased and oiled.

Ideas, please!

Bottom bracket, saddle, headset?

Could be the BB I s'pose. Not saddle, not headset as it happens when standing on pedlas and with no hands. The BB is a FAG sealed unit which is, I am told, maintenance free.

Mr SHK is on his second BB, both his B and mine are 2 years old but he is much harder on his it seems!
c. 10 miles a day.

I don't think his was squeaking though, it went into the bike shop with the statement 'the hub is broken', came out with entirely new drivetrain (except the hub); hub is still not right...

Creaks are often difficult to identify. I was reluctant to suggest the bottom bracket in fact, because often it sounds like the noise is coming from the bottom bracket when it's not.
