Have just put On a pair of new tires, and now find that rear braking causes vibration and a creaking noise. Have checked that brake blocks aren't touching the tyre, and that brake callipers are securely attached. Nothing's changed but the tyre & I'm at a loss as to what's causing this! Hopefully not a defective tyre :-S

Wheel located in drop outs properly?
Contaminant on rim or brake block(s)?

I realigned my brake blocks and got a lot of noise. It disappeared after a couple of long rides. I had a ridge on the pads where the wear indicator on the rim fitted. I think I should have filed it down when I moved them. Your wheel may be in a slightly different position than before.

Wheel is located properly, and no contaminant on rim or blocks. The rim has no wear indicator on it, so no ridge on blocks.

The only thing I can think of is it's the tyre creaking, or not seated properly against the rim? It was Very tight to fit!

Possibly tyre isn't evenly seated (rotationally out of true)?

Deflate tyre, make sure it is seated evenly all round, half inflate, make sure it is seated evenly all round, slightly over-inflate, make sure it is seated evenly all round, deflate to correct pressure.
