Hi
I have a Saracen Urban Clever Mike, owned it for around 7 months now, this last few weeks it has started creaking, like the metal is straining.

At first I thought it may be the suspension seat post, so I swapped this and the seat but it is still doing it. Th eonly things I can think it is is the forks of the bottom bracket, seems to happen more when I am straining up a hill or going over a rough section, it also still happens when I am not pedling.

Does anyone have any what this could be? Or a contact email for Saracen? I guess I can still take it back to the shop but thought I'd ask some opinions first.

Thanks

Are you sure it isn't the rider...

Otherwise, there's little you can do except methodically go round checking everything. Sometimes mere tightening doesn't work and it is better to loosen, wiggle it about a bit and then retighten and often apply a bit of the right kind of lubricant to metal on metal joints - usually a bit of grease. Over-tightening is not a good idea, as parts can fail!

Given the symptoms you describe I would start with the seat rails and then move on to the handlebar stem (both ends - steerer and bars).
