Creaking pedal

Without the tube or large spanner, you could be there some time.....

Have you tried tightening the seat post yet? I'll try to find my post on it (the whole reason I joined CC in the first place). Creaky right pedal, I swore blind it was coming from the BB/crank. Replaced everything for new 105 crankset/BB, still the same creak on the right side. Guys on here were suggesting it was my seat post but I was sure it wasn't. I was wrong .

Does it still creak when you stand up and pedal?

Twas the seat after all

I have got rid of most of the corrosion on the allen bolt/nut and tightened it all back up and now the creaking is gone. The seat post was firmly in place so I suspect it has stuck to the tube and must be freed at some point for adjustment.

I am now left with a pair of £10 pedals which I have no use for. The LBS might not have them back as they are out of their packaging and that particular shop have always been a bit arsey when it comes to returns.


And after getting that all fixed I discover ANOTHER broken spoke on the rear wheel, not my day TBH

I am gonna invest in a new alloy wheelset if I can a pair for the right price and in 127mm width, if they still sell them.
