Creaking is often hard to solve
I sympathise with these probs. I had a horrible creak on a new Giant TCR1 when I honked it out of the saddle. Tried everything for weeks, BB, bars, rear wheel etc. Then I removed and replaced the f/wheel and it stopped. Forever.
Now I have a nasty creak on my Rockhopper m/bike. I replaced the BB. No difference. I discovered grit on my rear wheel drop outs and it disappeared - for a week. It started again. Again I cleaned the drop outs and axle. It stopped. For one ride. Now its horrible once again. Could it be the rear wheel drop outs are worn or something?
I once had probs with creaking spokes on my Dahon speed pro. When I tightened them they went away. For a while. Then they came back. Kept tightening them to make them go until.... they started to break. So a new rear wheel was called for. Creaks can mess with your head!
