If I want to know my crank length, where do I need to measure from and to?

Nah there are 2 measurements in standard units Millimetres and Metres, the centimetre was dropped years ago

On a fixie next to those fun elevated safety borders the 5 mm can make the difference between going horizontal and going vertical, something you notice

Of course, there has been the view that if you're serious, even 5mm. can make a lot of difference in spinning comfort & efficiency.
Personally I can't see it, but there are those that claim it does - !

It’s will often be etched on the inside (facing frame) side of the crank.
