Crank length: what do you think?

Was having an idle google about and came across this:

I did my calculation, and it returned 171.72mm which seems on the face of it to make sense. Have a bash an post your results......

I never have any joy with these things, apparently my ideal is 197!

However, while I know you can get longer than 'standard' cranks, I've always ridden 175 cranks and am perfectly happy and comfortable doing so

Mine is apparently 208!!!! I think I'll stick with my 175 though.

mine comes out at 167 mm , so i guess i will stick with 170 `s.

Mine is 168. I've got both 165mm and 170mm cranks so will make sure I ride the one with 170mm a bit more than the other and it will work out perfectly

Mine comes out at 192.
My two "best" bikes have 175 mm cranks, my fixed and the tandem have 170 mm. Can't say I notice a whole bunch of difference, but I'd like to try some cranks at 185 mm or 190 mm one day.

I get 164, ties in with being so comfortable with the 165mm cranks on my fixed.

177 for me, although I ride 175 and 170 cranks...

180 for me so the 175 ones I ride are not too bad.With internet centralisation of supply I imagine it could one day become big business.


I spin more now but I have certainly noticed since recently going from 170 to 175 that my arthritic knee problems have certainly lessened.
