ELO's take on "Roll Over Beethoven" knocked both Chuck Berry's original and the Beatles cover out of the park.
Prelude showed Neil Young how "After the Goldrush" should be done.
Johnny Allen and Dave Edmunds (with Geraint Watkins) both owned "Promised Land" with their covers of Chuck Berry's original.
Don't get me wrong, Chuck Berry has produced some brilliant work in his own right that it would be foolish to cover.
