The test materials can be sent to one of a number of WADA accredited labs. Same tests, same kit, except Cologne seemed to have some slightly more advanced test for finding clembuterol - unlucky for AC..!

The way this is dragging on, the greater the chance of him walking away cleared, I think.

So, last year other TdF riders could have had a much higher concentration of Clenbutamol than Bertie, been tested at a different lab and given the all clear, .

Are WADA/UCI still considering a threshold for Clenbutamol? Can’t really introduce it before the appeal though, it would muddy the waters even further.

I think he’ll walk away cleared as well.
