Barnet,
I would also stump up a few quid for Nicole, If it was in with other bike forums and even maybe cycling weekly she might be able to carry on with her career and carry on to even more honours.

We might be able to sponsor the bottle cage screws, or if they stuck to basic bike computers we could chip in for them...

6 riders on £20,000
Herself on £30,000
21 Bikes 2 each for road, 1 TT (21 X £2000) £42000
Manager (me) £30,000
Mechanics x3 3 x £7,500
Masseurs x2 2 x £10,000
Bus £100,000...

I'll be a masseur and waive my fee (salary that is, not charges for "extras"). That's saved you £3 a head already!!!

Just to make it clear, I am NOT suggesting we go signing up for full sponsorship for a few years! No, that IS beyond us!! What I'm thinking is a one-off sum for the new season. I'd happily put forward £200 as I reckon Nicole doesn't get the support she deserves from the UK and it frankly pisses me off.

Maybe this is something for BikeRadar with it's higher profile and larger user base.

No. I wouldn't give my own money to promote a commercial company. Particularly (and I really don't want to dredge up old arguments here, but particularly) not one that I feel showed little respect for its existing forum users.

If Future want to promote their brand, Future can pay.

However, I would make a modest contribution if it was about CycleChat. I appreciate the free service that is provided here and would be very happy to support it and Nicole.

(Not sure if I want a deluge of new contributors )

(I reckon some of the more traditional Veloriders might splutter a bit )

How many people were interviewed on sunday? How many used the opportunity to so shamelessly plug the fact they needed funding for their own team?

its not 'her team' maggot she is not going to be the owner of a profit making business for crissakes. Nicole is putting aside her own career to help UK female cyclists because they were dumped by Halfrauds.

Its for the benefit of british female road cycling not Nicole Cooke

Count me in for a donation. Can we choose where she positions the CC motive on her jersey?
