Hope this is the right section  Would any of you kind people have any idea how much you would expect to pay at a good lbs to swap out a complete gear set ? As in swapping Shimano 105 for Ultegra ? I have no idea of how much time this would take or if some bits like cables etc can be re-used ?

Any info greatly appreciated

Are you buying the groupset from the LBS?

If not I'd expect about £60 but that's Norwich prices.

Why don't you phone your lbs and ask; you never know, they may offer decent prices for components if they do the work an supply parts.

Your right mate i know im just wanting a ball park figure as lbs's are un-ventured territory for me for having work done on bikes.

seriously I am really DIY adverse, but for the price of the tools it really would be an afternoon's job at most and really handy for the future. You tube is your friend and nothing about changing a groupset is difficult. Honestly.

+ 1 to DIY... not sure every bike shop will fit parts you supply, especially if they stock them.. but a phone call to them would clarify that. Most Modern bike parts are simple to fit and there are lots of video tuturials on the web. Any problems and you can always post specific questions on the forum, many will help you. It's better to have hands on understanding, as it will help you recognise future problems, up your emergency road side fix it skills and is IMO satisfiying to do.
