Tricross Sport, a good choice imvho.. what you may need to do is swap the tyes over for something less knobly for your commute/Paris trip

ps, when you get the bike.. don't forget to post some piccies in the piccie section

You wouldn't necessarily even have to do this - it comes with Spesh Borough tyres on it which are more like treaded commuter tyres - certainly not knobbly!
The only thing is, they are 32mm wide and not particularly light  I don't think they roll that easily too and are quite noisy . When I had them on my Tricross, the guy I rode with kept saying he thought there was a car following us because of the tyre noise ;)

The thinnest tyre you can get on those rims is 25's - I fitted 25 Gatorskins on mine and they have been fine.

Gary.

Gary,

Thanks for that. Had thought about getting road tyres for the Paris run but will see how I find the standard Spesh tyres it comes with first. If I start to drown out all other people on the road with their noise, might change them sooner rather than later ;)

Have you found any problems with juddering on the brakes. Some reviews (perhaps more so on the 07 and 08 models) have reported this. Although might also be for the larger frames. I am hoping to get the 52, so might be less of an issue.

Well???

Have you got the new bike yet?? Are you sticking with the original pedals, saddle, etc?

Sorry to ask but I have to get my "new bike" thrills by proxy these days.
