I saw a guy on a mountain bike a few minutes ago wearing what looks like a skiing helmet complete with goggles! Looked a bit odd but also looked like more protection that a cycling style helmet so perhaps he is onto something

I never noticed this was a resurrected thread.

Glad to hear it did settle. In some ways a head injury is a lot harder to deal with than a break or a strain as it's unpredictable and its effects quite debilitating and there's not much you can do about it either.
