Parrafinlamps - that is great advice. Thankyou. I know most of the routes you are talking about, done them many times......... (in the car of course) We have been going on the old railway you mentioned, on near Himley & off at Wombourne then through Swindon and hopping onto the canal.
I think we will give Baggeridge a bash this weekend, but we'll save Camp Bank for another time. We'll do it though, one day.... we'll get there.
I actually got another bike today, went to an auction with my Dad & he spotted a nice bike & bought it for me. Looks good. I wanted one that I can keep at work as I'm going to go out with my mates at work once or twice a week after work & I can't easily transport a bike in/on my car.

Could you ride to work, Smudgeley? It's a good and easy way to get your weekly mileage up if you can do it .. even if you don't do every day.

All depends on the length of your journey, suitability of route and all that. But worth a thought ..

 no
I work in Warwick. 43 miles from home. Have to drop the kids off at school at 8.15am & straight to work to arrive by 9.30am. My job then involves lots of driving so it wouldn't be suitable for my job..... However my husband only works a few miles away.... I'll suggest it.

Aha, no then .. I can see the problems. ;)

Sounds like you should be able to "persuade" hubby to do it though ..
