I cycled for the first time with company today.. with my husband who now had a cheap new bike - very cheap halfords bike.
We did 3 miles around the country park (Pembrey) really was lovely. I had to get off for a couple of slopes but managed one of them and can work on progression. Bike is back down my horses yard as that is the easiest place for me to leave and return to - still enjoying and despite nerves after 10 days gap I am defo getting better at setting off.

Company is so nice we're planning to ride out twice a week on my days off while the kids are in school.

do you all ride in company?

That's so nice - I like the rare occasions when Mr G comes out with me though he is annoyingly always a bit faster than me due to having excellent legs! I nearly always cycle alone, which I do like.

Mixed, either alone, but longer rides always with @jefmcg and another friend who has just got a road bike. @jefmcg and I almost killed said friend by taking her for 40 miles on her first big outing (with a headwind for the second half)...I think she enjoyed it but hasn't ridden since I think   (well she is rather younger and lighter than me especially)!

I love cyclung but i do wish i had company. I think it would motivate me more. My commuteis rather short so i get excited when another cyclist passes me, though i cant really catch up with them.
This morning I had a chat with another cyclist, unfortunately our path was closed due to i bike being hit by a car. The police claimed it was no one's fault. I have my doubts since it was in a middle lane, and just before a set of lights.

Always on my own.
I have thought about joining a club but just haven't taken the plunge yet.

A mixture- sometimes I love the social element, being in a little group, bit of wind blocking, all good. =
Then other days love the solitude of not having a route/ time limit/ other people to worry about.
Glad you found another fun way to get out and are still enjoying it.

Very rare I go out alone there's always someone wanting to come out mainly one or both my kids I don't mind as I go at their pace which for me is a doddle.
