It's funny, I can remember channel four starting (complete with Brookside) and the excitement that caused. Now we have tons of digital channels but the choice is too limited.

OK, a significant percentage of those channels are documentaries about Nazis or aliens (and sometimes both) but still ...

Agreed but I reckon 80% (number plucked from air) of the content is over 5 years old, or as you say about Nazi's, Aliens, dating, reality shows that bear no reality to real life, shows that should be 30 minute long & padded out to 60 minutes by repeating the bit they repeated in the last segment., some that are so poor Youtube channels are better quality.

Amazon Prime is a 'prime' example, it's offering is dire, it's almost impossible to find anything 'good' to watch & if you find something as soon as you try to watch it it tells you that it's not included & that you need to pay for it.
