Come along now, dont be unkind, that's his riding gear and the cuffs are double to wear with cufflinks. In his circle if you don't ride (I don't mean a bike) you're simply out.
Obviously not too tolerant of the tiresome lower orders!

In spite of everything I think he might be an interesting person to sit opposite at a dinner table.
