Good morning,
I really prefer the much bigger hoods that modern STI levers have over "classic" designs and there is no requirement that the STI part needs to be connected to cables.
I recently swapped from classic Shimano 600 to modern Ultegra and it did not change my life, but it is a big improvement.

I know some purists may frown at this, but at that price they could be great for a bike with much older brake levers and D/T or B/E shifters.Good price if you're in the market for 10 speed tiagra shifters
