I have actually considered a red/black chain to go with my black frame, with many red details but I decided it was a step too far

It's a lot more subtle when fitted to the bike.

I'm all for bar tape matching the bike. I have bright green tape on my green, black,and red bike.

My white Defy with the odd bit of blue trim originally had a white sadde and white tape. Kept with the saddle but, changed to blue tape.

the saddle can be any colour you want but if you chose white for the handlebars as I have it soon looks v. mucky ..or well loved and time served

I'd go with red tape to match the rest of the bike and have the black Spoon with the 'charge' in red.

Ah, well now I have plenty of experience with this, having five bikes that are all or mostly red.

The answer is black saddle, black tape / grips, although if you're feeling flush, then black tape with red trim.

I have a grey Spesh Sec Elite.Black Brooks b17,,black,grey and white tape.Camouflage style.I like it some might not.
