Co2 inflators for the commute or day rides

I absolutely hate it when people use CO2 inflators. I never buy tubes but collect discarded ones on large bike races. Getting them home is a bit of a problem and the best way to do so is to suck the air out and then roll them up. However, sucking on CO2 is unpleasant. Please stop using CO2 or find something with pure air in. Please.

A nitrous oxide canister should fit in a CO2 inflator... :crazy:

How about a mini pump and CO2 inflator combined. Mini pump to put a bit of air in the tube to help find and fix the hole if you have time, or to give a bit of shape to the replacement tube to avoid a pinch flat. Then use the CO2 for full pressure.

£15 each from Wiggle (the MTB was only a tenner recently) and will fit inside a saddle bag with a tube and a couple of CO2 cartridges...
