Just been Googling a few dealer sites to compare the prices of what appears to be the same item to find the price difference quite outstanding?

Ok, the item I've chosen is a Cube Teamline Bibshorts where the prices differ from £39.99 here http://www.skinnergate.co.uk/clothing-c40/shorts-c42/cube-teamline-bibshort-p21885

to £79.99 at http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/cube-teamline-bibshorts-2016/rp-prod143383 or
http://www.durham.cubebikestore.eu/441/products/cube-teamline-bibshorts.aspx

But if you want a bargain for BOTH Cube Bibshorts & Jersey for £17.99 there is this ebay dealer http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Mens-...hash=item2cb1089abb:m:mQCVW9mi6jCmlRghx6Hq8cA

Which one would you go for? Is the dearest the best or could they be selling the same cheaper version but at an exaggerated price?:wacko:

The 39.99 one is a clearance price - they only have XXXL left in stock. Bargain if that's your size.

And the eBay seller only has the Cube kit in XL.

It's also not clear exactly what you're getting from the eBay seller. That Sky kit definitely isn't Rapha for a start.

The eBay seller is from China so these will be cheap copies of the more expensive gear that you've seen.
Having said that I bought some similar cycling gear from China and the quality wasn't too bad although the sizing was way out.

Well, the eBay stuff is advertised as "mens" but the size guide uses womens sizes (and bust measurement) and the photos seem to vary a lot so I'd avoid that!

(I have bought eBay stuff cheap before and, if you're careful, it's fine.)

Don't do it. I bought a supposedly Specialized jersey from what looked like an American site selling brand jerseys and it arrived from China. It was so atrocious that I stuck it straight on Ebay, only to be bollocked by Ebay for selling fake goods!

Spiderweb, I agree with regard to the sizing of cycle clothing from China and would suggest anyone buying to go for the next size up from what you would have normally bought, other than that I have been quite pleased with what Chinese items I have bought so far. As far as the ebay stuff from China it's obviously fake but hey these day's most items originate from China?

I'd go for genuine stuff not off eBay but it's your cash

Yes most stuff is made in the Far East but depends if you want the actual stuff picked and licensed by Cube's buyers In materials they see as representative of their brand values or (being kind) unlicensed copies

Ive brought the fake ebay stuff - its decent to be honest at 50% of RRP - ya pays yer money !
Have you thought about decathlon kit - always a good bang for your buck..
