@StaffCycler ... I would personally suggest dont spend much on cycling cloths .. Trust me.. you would be spending again in three months time.

I was 18.26 stones a year and half ago .. now 13.62.. all my cloths including cycling ones went to charity ... ( I was xxl and now size L/M )..

Brought most of my stuff from sport direct including decent trainers.

Just pedal more ... Happy cycling ...
You also need to radically review diet and calorie intake  no one loses 5 stone eating the same and cycling a bit unless they are extremely lucky or have an abnormal metabolism (in which case unlikely to get to be obese in the beginning )

Thanks @DRM and @Krock -- I've since found a lightweight waterproof/windproof jacket that should do the trick.

Congratulations on the weight loss @Krock, that's very impressive.

Right! I've got that aspect sorted. Cycling is/will only be part of my plan. I go to CrossFit and have a very specific diet worked out. I've lost just over a stone since starting 8 weeks ago so things are going rather well. I just want the cycling to aid in the days between the CF sessions.

As above, look at outdoor clothing..... far more forgiving and realistic in sizing.

TK Maxx used to do stretch Craghopper trousers and 3/4 length at good prices
