Another van strikes again... this time its blue
Primary position, blue van man overtakes while approaching zebra crossing and while a vehicle is pulling out from a side road. Whats your thought on this, should this be something I report to the police?

inside joke, sorry.

That incident is pretty common, you could try reporting it but unless you have Roadsafe or something it's unlikely to go anywhere.

Poor driving but the police wouldnt batter an eye lid.

Dont go to the police with little things like this. If he had acted agressive towards you then I could understand but he just misjudged his overtake or was impatient. Dont go crying wolf. You dont want to get a reputation of reporting every close pass you get.
I have learnt from experience. Even VERY close passes the police wont do anything unless there is injury or damage (or if there is a confrontation or the driving is really bad).

I would roadsafe that in London, but I doubt I'd bother if there wasn't such a scheme. This is because Roadsafe are willing to educate drivers using our footage and reports.

This is exactly the problem. Forces need to roll out Road Safe to other counties and start addressing this as a serious concern. Road Safe is also more cost effective than dealing with the van driver after he eventually misjudges and has someone off.

I remember asking Derbyshire Police if they'd consider doing something like Roadsafe in the area. I got an official response from someone fairly senior all "why would we do that? If you witness a crime, report it".

Yet another head cam thread about making something out of nothing. Bad driving happens every second of every day.
