Clicking noise - help

That's what i tried... it was easy with the link that came with the chain - the others (which appeared identical) just would not close no matter how hard I pulled, or pulled while squeezing the sides together. Very frustrating.
You haven't ordered ones which are too narrow, ie your trying to fit 10sp quick links to a 9 sp chain, they simply wont go. If they are the correct speed its just the same as the link which came with the chain.

Here's a tip on splitting your new chain, just in case you do what I done and make it to short :blush:

When you screw the splitter in to the pin, don't push the pin completely out all the way. Leave the pin on the outer part of the link, it is MUCH easier for when you want to add the link back to make the chain the proper length :smile:

No, they were literally identical, 10 spd links, same brand, same colour. Just would not close.
