I use Fairy Liquid (others are available) to clean my hands after cleaning down/oiling my bike. However this doesn't always seem to cut the mustard, my hands are still dark and it is still dirty in all of the creases in my hands. What do you use? I have cleaned my hands 3 times and they still look like I have just left the colliery

If I don't use disposable gloves then a bit of washing up liquid with a scotchbrite pad...just scrub away.

I'd be curious to know too. For the 1st time in my life I have had to clean my bike 'properly', ie degrease and all that stuff. Right messy work and it's made my hands look like I'm still in the colliery....
Oh for the days when I was a kid (yeah, long long gone..) and my stepdad did that kind of thing for me

These are the best hand cleaners I've tried so far. loctite-7850-handcleaner-400ml.jpg lava.jpeg

Should be available from a motorfactors or decent hardware shop but not that cheap.

Otherwise, the Fairy liquid with sugar tip above works perfectly well but done repeatedly it will dry your skin out.

Swarfega here too.

I wear latex gloves a lot of the time but remove them for some tasks, or when my hands get sweaty!
