I use saddle soap on my leather shoes of any colour. Its never let me down yet. I have Lake road shoes in white and the saddle soap hasn't discoloured them.
But it's leather that has been painted white like a car seat so don't use a solvent on it and I doubt whether something like dubbin or saddle soap would do any good. Better to clean it with a gentle abrasive.
