1979 CB in cream.

Pelissier large flange hubs.

Gipiemme seat post.

Cinelli stem

Sakai handlebars.

Please see pictures.

Many thanks.

Very nice, though are you sure it is as late as '79?

I thought fork mounted lamp brackets had disappeared by then though the old memory might be playing tricks.

I had a bike with a fork mounted light bracket in the 1980's.

Hi,
your Claud looks like a Claud Butler version of a late 50's, early 60's Holdsworth Hurricane, Claud had been taken over and the Claud models were just mid range Holdsworth clones. I suspect you might find a faint '1' in front of the 4 digits you can see.
Thanks Terry

I was thinking it was older but the under chain stay stop had me thinking. I wonder if it has been modernised at some time?

That looks very much like a Majestic to me which was launched in 1977.

Hmmm... Claud Butler with this style of Nervex Legere lugs, lamp boss, TT pump pegs and serial 4560. Looks to me like a c.1960 Coureur soon after takeover by Holdsworthy. Is oiler on upper non drive side of BB as was usually seen prior to 1965?

Agree with oldtel, the Hurricane was the similar frame among Holdsworth models.

RD cable routing under BB not usually seen in an older Holdsworthy Claud as this one, although interesting was common among pre Holdsworthy Clauds. Like midlife wonder if evidence for this being a later alteration?

The green Electron with the white panel on the top tube is the one I had circa 1970. It looked stunning when shiny and new, though mine ended up with chrome forks thanks to the prat who decided I would like to take a ride across his bonnet on the A11 at Woodford.
