I've had 3 (164 V6, 145 & 156 Estate) followed by a FixItAgainTony which is why I now drive Japanese

Bit of T-cut and an oil change on the one you linked to and it'll be fine!

Oh blimey a Fiat 128 3p and 6 months running an Alfa Romeo service department were enough for me

At the old Chez Drago, just round the corner, was a Dolly Sprint rotting away on the front garden of a nearby house. I asked the guy what his plans were, and he told me he'd never sell it and he was going to restore it.

15 years later I moved out and the car was still there, so badly rotten by then that I suspect it was beyond repair, the whole thing sagging like a wet cardboard box where the structural integrity had gone.

I can never figure out why people do that. Perhaps laziness? If you're genuinely going to save it, fair play, but if you're not then move it on so someone else has a chance to save it for future generations.

Haven't seen it but just talking to SIL , full garage mechanic, he's currently working on a Mk2 Jaguar.
Brought by a customer for £15k as a hedge against possible upcoming 'grabs' in the budget, SIL just ordered £1k of spares for it. Not in great nick he said but all do- able.
The guy who used to do the airport runs for me in the Noughties had one, he reckoned with good DIY skills and a decent sized garage, most stuff was quite do-able.
SIL used to work for a restoration company in the 90s I believe, Jags were bread and butter stuff to him so it'll be like old times.
